No Flea Biscuits
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 cup wheat germ
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup brewer's yeast
1 cup chicken broth

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease or oil 2 large baking sheets. Stir together oil and garlic. Combine other dry ingredients in separate bowl and slowly mix into the oil-garlic, adding broth gradually to keep mixture moist. Roll out on floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on prepared baking sheets for 20-25 minutes or until brown around the edges. Allow to air dry for 2 hours and store in plastic bags.

 

 

Bad Breath Biscuits
2 c. brown rice flour
1 T. charcoal
1 large egg, slightly beaten
3 T. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped parsley
1/3 c. chopped fresh mint
2/3 c. milk


Preheat oven to 400. Combine flour, salt, and charcoal. In a medium bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley, and mint; mix well. Slowly stir in flour mixture, then add enough milk to make a dough the consistency of drop biscuits. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 1 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 15 minutes or until firm. Store cooled biscuits in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

 

 

Homemade Dog Bones

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup corn meal
1/2 cup soy flour
1/2 cup ground seeds
1 tablespoon linseed oil (available in health food stores)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup unsulfured molasses
2 eggs 1/4 cup milk

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix to blend. Add the liquid ingredients. Stir, adding more milk if necessary to make a ball that can be kneaded and rolled out on a cutting board. Roll out dough, and cut out dog bone shapes using a cookie cutter or knife. Place on a well-greased baking pan, and bake at 350 F for 25 to 35 minutes, or until browned.

 

 

Arthritis Recipe
1/4 inch slice ginger root
1 beet
1/2 apple, seeded
4 carrots, greens removed
push ginger, beet and apple through juice hopper with carrots.

Itchy skin
1/4 inch slice ginger root
1 beet
1/2 apple, seeded
4 carrots, greens removed
handful parsley
2 beet green leaves
push through hopper

Diarrhea
2 inch slice ginger root
1/4 lemon
1 pint water
1 stick cinnamon, broken
4-5 cloves
dash nutmeg or cardamom
juice ginger and lemon. place juice in saucepan, add water, cinnamon and cloves. gently simmer and add nutmeg or cardamom.

Constipation
2 apples, seeded
1 pear
alternate pushing apple and pear slices through juice hopper

 

 

APPLES: Good for bad breath

GARLIC: Good for deworming and fleas. Good for arthritis and rheumatism.
Can also help cure ringworm. (Use in moderation, too much can cause anemia.)
